I remember Peter Purvis, Valerie Singleton and John Noakes.

Loved John and Shep but Valerie scared me a bit, too stern and posh, like one of my school teachers.

Another vote for Konnie Huq here if only to give the great John Noakes a run for his money: and she has a son called Huxley Huq, which is worth a bonus point ...

Saw Konnie Huq a while back on Blockbusters when she was a schoolgirl contestant, before she was famous of course.

By heck common as muck oop here in West Yorkshire, I was a Magpie viewer. I do remember John Noakes and Shep though... and the infamous Tracey Island bit a few years later... I was only just getting home from A Grammar school then.
