just read the book after watching the film. fairly similar, but where did humma kavula in the film come from? and that really cool gun.

Humma Kavula was created espicially for the film by Douglas Adams. Not sure why (I havent seen the film yet)

anything you don't recognise from the book could have come from the 4 other books that followed the original or the radio series - i think there were about 3 series (?)

douglas worked on the film script for about 20 years so some stuff is probably new just for the film (things kept going wrong with the production and it kept being delayed...and delayed...and delayed... its such a shame he didn't live to see it
