Is the actor who plays Mini-me in Austin Powers mute or was there a reason he couldn't speak in the film? He was clearly able to make sounds and mouth words but no more.

No Verne Troyer (the actor that plays Mini-me) is not mute.


No idea why Mike Myers made him mute in the Austin Powers films though
