and ... what sort of [deleted] calls his son 'Shane Shade' - sounds like a particularly naff Marvel Villain.

A dad and child I've come across many a time......makes me cross but it's sad for the boy really.....

And I'd not want a tattoo from a man who's no good at English... :-)
There is only so much he can do - why ??? The boy's only 7! Rubbish parenting imo ..
Totally agree HIA for him to say the school needs to do more is bizarre.
// A Bransholme dad is considering taking his son out of a Hull secondary school amid claims his 12-year-old son keeps getting thrown out of classes for “pulling faces.” //

I bet the school is dreading the prospect (not).
Poor kid - now a Special Needs case thanks to appalling parenting.
if the dad took the son out of school would they even notice? LOL. Seems the son aint at school for hardly any time as it is.
the school refuses to teach him because he pulls faces behind the teacher's back? Setting aside the question of "how do they know?", I can only say classrooms would have been empty in my day.

But ADHD did occur to me. Why would they have to check out the parent before doing anything with the child?
// Seems the son aint at school for hardly any time as it is. //

Just enough time to cause enough trouble to be sent home.
It is sad for the young fella really.

but SD... in the OP... 'Shane Shade' - sounds like a particularly naff Marvel Villain. proper made me Lol.
The Father says the school needs to do more. I have a long time friend who was a primary school teacher for many years. The time came when teachers were not allowed to "punish" pupils for misbehaving for fear of reprisals/compensation claims from the parents. He gave up teaching.

//// the school refuses to teach him because he pulls faces behind the teacher's back? ... classrooms would have been empty in my day. ////

ditto
He's 12 years old. Read his school record so far. If a teacher is dealing with a large class and one child is pulling faces...tapping on his desk and generally causing disruption throughout the lesson every child in that class will suffer. It's not just a case of sticking out his tongue when the teacher turns around. This is constant disruption and has been since he started school.
Hid dad calls him a bad lad...a little *** who lashes out. This dad can't teach and rear one child yet expects the school to be responsible for teaching him, in a school of hundreds, how to behave well.
Teachers teach...they are not there to rectify the poor behaviour of a child who is being brought up badly as well as, by his father's example, not being taught responsibility.
Having worked in schools, I agree with your comment Gness.
The kid is called Shane Shade. I think i might be prone to pulling faces. Bransholme is a luvverly place, btw. ah hem.
So frustrating isn't it, Milo....when the parent, instead of working with staff, seems to be working against them in favour of the child who has been a constant problem.....and no good for the child at all.
It is really frustrating, Gness. I used to feel sorry for the rest of the children in my class as well as it being sad for the child.
My kids had to sign a behaviour contract.
So did mine, ummm... although I'm not sure that makes a difference if the child is disrespectful and the father thinks it's nothing to do with him. The child's surname isn't given, is it? I can only see the father's, which is not necessarily the same.
bit like that story before Christmas of a 5 year old singing 'while shepherds washed their c-cks by night' and was publicly admonished for it....why not a simple 'that wasn't nice' to him, one to one, and go and have a laugh afterwards in the teachers' staff-room?
