What do you think of Zoe Ball's breakfast show so far? Or have you switched to Virgin to stay with Chris Evans? (I see his family are even more involved now....zzzz) For my money, nothing beats Mike Read on United DJs - he's brilliant and has no playlist to adhere to.

You’ve given the reason. I stated the effect.
nobody can whack Tony Blackburn....loved him on the brekkie show back in the day !! still got it !
How is everyone finding Rylan on the radio? Is he any good? Ive not heard him on radio 2 yet, might give him a try later on today.
I think Rylan is very natural. He was on the One Show last night. The new Dale Winton, perhaps?
I think both Zoe and Sara are doing a fine job which, given time, they will grow into. The R2 presenters that set my teeth on edge are all male; Michael 'i really love that song' Ball, Dermot ' i'll talk so fast and so low they won't understand me' O'Dreary, Craig 'i'll try to sound like a late night DJ from the 60s' Charles and when Jeremy 'does my ego look big in this' Vine comes on, i just change channels.
"Rylan", "Natural". Two words i never thought i'd see in the same sentence. He's as false as Jordan's threepenny bits. IMHO, of course :-)
I prefer Naga as her reporting is professional and diction clear. Naga is a superior presenter than the usual air heads that rely on their decolletege for popularity.
^^ to Baldrik re Breakfast tv
I wake up to R4 to catch up with the news, then switch to R3 when the constant interrupting of the presenters gets on my nerves.
I listen to LBC these days
Can’t stand the sight or sound of this person.
woofgang, I would have paid money to avoid Wogan when he was broadcasting but Ray Moore was altogether different. I liked the way in which he referred to his wife (a la Arthur Daley) as "management" :) His voice was delightful.
woofgang I miss Ray Moore, Alex Lester and Terry Wogan.

Alex Lester ( AKA the dark lord ) is the early morning DJ on BBC radio WM.
Not any more, Tony, apparently he's left WM.

I'm really glad the dreadful Chris Evans has gone.

I don't mind Zoe Ball, but she hasn't dragged me away from Dave Berry on Absolute.
Hopkirk Not any more, Tony, apparently he's left WM.

When did this happen, Hopkirk ?. Must have been very recently.
Thanks, Hopkirk. He lives in Wednesbury but born and raised in Walsall ya know ;-)

Bloody hell, Daz Hale has taken over ( Wolves fan ).
Yes but Suzi Perry is a Wolves fan so they are not all bad.

I miss the Dark Lord on R2, he was the best DJ they had.
I've seen on hopkirks link that radio Sheffield won station of the year. Strewth, the competition must be pish poor!
Glad to be of service
