Click 'Cancel' or whatever the option is. I have done it so often I can't even remember what it's called, but it's not hard. You will still it pop up as a choice to 'Continuecwatching', but that's no biggie and I think there is a way to remove it from the list if it bothers you that much.

Was it Warren by any chance?
What precisely do you mean by 'load up'?

Load up....
If I miss the first episode of a series and watch it on iPlayer i.e Warren (though I saw that was going to be cack so I didn't bother) then the next week iPlayer will automatically 'load up' the next episode when it becomes available. iPlayer doesn't appear to give me the option to say "no thanks, I'm not actually interested in this programme"
Do you mean download?
Take the cursor to the top of your screen and press one of the options, ie Channel, Search, whatever...
Go into My Programmes. Click on the programme concerned and if it says Remove then click on it. However if it says Add, then don't as you are not following that programme.
