The internet is awash with references to "the sexy priest" in Fleabag - but if we mere males describe our opposite gender as "sexy" they criticise us remorselessly for treating them not as people, but as sex objects.

I think the point is that he’s a priest, and we’re not meant to find priests sexy.
If there was a sexy nun on tv I’m sure you’d be allowed to say so.
