Jeremy Kyle Show Cancelled

Just heard on the radio that the JK show has been cancelled as one of the participants died shortly after recording. ITV have announced an investigation and it is feared it may never return. Anyone on here miss it if it vanishes?

It's the television equivalent of going down to Bedlam to poke the lunatics through the bars. It makes a deal of 'helping' people because it infers that it is not the irredeemable mockery of socially inadequate people parading their dysfunctiona l lives for the entertainmen t of others - but it is anyway.

There is a lot of odd people in the world and these types of programme don't help. I remember this incident:

The only time i ever catch any of the episodes is when i'm decorating occupied houses - much of my work is in unoccupied dwellings. I would never watch it voluntarily - and maybe not even on pain of death. I also believe that something that happened within the withdrawn episode may have been a factor in the person's death and i'm just surprised that this is the first time such a thing has occurred. If, indeed, that is what happened.
Never watched a whole episode. I’ve seen bits when husband has inexplicably been watching.
I’ve vaguely known people who’ve been on it. It’s like a free holiday for them. They’re put up in some dismal hotel with free food and booze, and encouraged to lay into each other for other people’s entertainment. Nasty show.

I haven't watched it in years, the television package I have now does not include JK, I can't say I 'liked' it but I did watch it if it was on, it did help some people and I liked when he'd have the children on that had serious illness' or whatever and they'd tell of how they cope with people staring at them etc., they were so strong, then I think of the guy that set fire to his home and some of his children died, he used the JK show as a platform to say why he had so many children and he was a sponger of sorts, so I reckon with emotions tense and old feuds brought to the fore - there's bound to be a backlash somewhere. The show did more good and I do think while many think of it as some freak show (the lack of teeth, the crazy clothes and the shouting of course) a lot of good for most families came out of it
