I had the misfortune to see last night's episodes, and I have to say that it had some of the worst acting I have seen for many years, perpetrated by those playing the new family that are moving in to No 3. What on earth was that accent being attempted by Lorna (Mrs Tembe) Laidlaw? Truly awful, all of them
How anyone could accept the eldest son as being so absolutely dense is beyond belief. Are there actually humans walking the street with an IQ of a pingpong ball?
I didn't take to them at all. The dad semed familiar- I don't watch East Enders but could imagine he was on that- and I couldn't place his accent, nor the mum's, but it was nothing like the smartly dressed eldest son's accent.
And maybe I wasn't fully watching but what was the house he took Michelle to for coffee?
Not a good start. The date with Michelle was a totally stupid storyline. Like most of the storylines these days. The standard of scriptwriters has dropped dramatically. The good actors in in, and there are a few, are suffering having no decent material. And the whole horse thing is ridiculous. But I still watch it just to pick holes in it!
Thanks heriam- I thought it might be the house they had moved from but couldn't understand why Mrs Tembe's bag of lingerie was still there and why there was still coffee and cups there. Maybe they have sold and got the money but no-one has moved in yet.
