It was the final part of theThe Widower tonight. Can anyone please put me out my misery and let me know who played the part of the Chief policeman tonight please? I recognised him but cant put a name to him. Did he once play a part of "a baddy" in one of the soaps?

I thought that the ending was a bit of an anti climax.

And why the constant years being posted regarding the death of his first wife?

Seeing that it was a true story AOG, the ending really reflected the truth. They could hardly make up a dramatic ending. :o) I enjoyed it.

I also thought the ending as rushed and an anti-climax as though the writer suddenly got bored and finished it quickly - in fact at 9.45pm I thought there must be another episode because surely this can't be resolved in the next 15 minutes.
Hope you all recognised the beautiful Archie Panjabi as the elder sister Pinky from Bend it like Beckham :-)

It made excellent viewing, Rheece Shearsmith played him brilliantly. My theory on why they kept showing how many years his first wife had been dead was to indicate how many years he had got away with murder. It was well worth showing a second time, I think.
