I applied for my TV license online for the first time earlier this year, as we are being told to use less paper & it will be more convenient?
After chasing it up on the phone because it took over a month I finally
got an email/online license sent to me.
Now in August, I have just moved into a property which already has a valid TV licence, and therefore require a refund for the remaining period of time I wont need one.
Again advised to apply for the refund online, I started to tap away.
Entered all the required info about new address details, account to which refund paid to and of course reason for refund.
All pretty simple until the very end. It instructed me to download/print off the form (had to go to library as no printer) and photocopy (library again) all evidence of my 'End of Tenancy Agreement' on my Flat, plus any info on my new house. I signed the form and had to send the whole lot in the post to the Tv licence people??
So much for being Eco Friendly & Paperless, not very convenient either?!
