Just watched the Star Trek TNG episode The Inner Light again for the first time in a few years. It's silly I know, but its just one of those things that switches on my waterworks.

Is there any tv or film (ridiculous or not) that gets you emotional?

Dead Poet's Society, Watership Down (I usually avoid anything with animals in now)... I think that's it.

I cried like a BGB at the end of The Deer Hunter, right there in the cinema!
I remember bits of the episode but it was different but in a good way.

I found the DVDs for Stargate Atlantis earlier when tidying up. I might watch them all again.

Rather embarrassingly, Pixar seen to have the ability to tug on my heartstrings. The first 10 minutes of Up and the last 10 of Toy Story 3 are killers.
ET
AI - towards the end where the kid is in some sort of coma and things look bad for him, had to switch it off and have never seen the end.
The Incredible Journey was on TV not long after I left home. At the end they were waiting for Bodger, the old dog, to come into view. I was starting to cry ... then the phone rang and at the other end was my mum mimicking what was in the film. I bet you are watching that soppy bloody film, then she hung up.

The Railway Children and Toy Story 3. I blub like a baby watching those.
It’s a wonderful life hits an emotional weakness.
Er, do I detect some sexism in the original post on this thread?

I generally don't 'get emotional' over anything but a few films can 'get to me'. I'd defy anyone to watch Ademir Kenović's 'Savrseni Krug' ('The Perfect Circle') without getting emotional.

Meh.

Big girl's blouse/little boy with a grazed knee. Better? ;-)
Bobby Simone's death in NYPD Blue.
The end in the Titanic where they meet again on the stairs , I openly cried like a baby in the cinema.

I really annoyed my then-girlfriend at the time by laughing like a hyena at ghost-Titanic at the end of that movie lol
