Annoying.
As in^ the real story is infuriating.
Question Author
Really? Why?
I think we all feel intensely sorry for Det. Fulcher. I know I do. He was ‘damned if he did and damned if he didn’t ‘. I do feel that his bosses let him down, but they had to follow the law. Becky’s father isn’t shown in a good light, is he, and as all the portrayals are based on facts he must presumably have acted like that. Perhaps after this Det. Fulcher can get some proper recognition for what he achieved. I read the other day that Halliwell has said there are more victims but don’t know if that’s true or not.
Question Author
hellywelly4, you appear to know the eventual outcome. I don't... yet.
You must do, Naomi?
Question Author
I don't want to believe that truth will not prevail and the law won't do what it ought to do .... but I can. :o(
If you don't, I shan't tell you why it's infuriating & spoil the end for you.
Question Author
I'm thoroughly enjoying it - but how stupid is a law that protects a self-confessed murderer simply because protocol wasn't followed to the letter. If that's what you mean by infuriating, Spicerack, yes, infuriating.
Naomi - I thought everyone knew the outcome! It was national news at the time and there have been many articles about it in the years since it happened.
Question Author
I guess I've forgotten. It rings no bells at all.
I haven’t watched it, (although I have recorded it) because I know what happened. There have been many documentaries about the case.
What do you mean by, “Part 105” Naomi?
Question Author
Just that there’s probably been several threads posted on this series before, Chrissa - and mine is yet another.
:0)
Currently reading Steve Fulcher's book - about a 3rd of the way in - and despite knowing the story from newspaper reports at the time and watching the series, it is still a very decent read.
Stopped watching as cannot stand Martin Freeman: unconvincing, limited, can't do accents, he's just Tim in The Office in everything he's in.
Ooh Id like to read that Ken. I bet its very interesting.
Only £2.99 on Kindle, Georgiesmum.
Question Author
brainiac, Not the best actor, I agree. He's always Dr Watson to me.
