Aww I quite like Dev and I'm enjoying the on-going storyline with his daughter. The storyline I can't stand just now is the Paul/Kel storyline, now that IS making my teeth itch Bobbs .. !

But I loved it when Mary squeaked “ Have you never heard of the beast with two backs” when Dev was trying to have a sex talk with daughter Asha, I couldn’t stop laughing x

Yes I admit his voice does do that, it's a bit like Sean who always tosses his head whenever he takes an order in the pub (watch him next time) ! Oh that exchange with Dev, Mary and Asher was hilarious - I couldn't stop giggling, Corrie back to is funniest best (although to be honest, I don't really know what 'the beast with two backs is!!).

Making the beast with two backs is a euphemistic metaphor for two persons engaged in sexual intercourse. It refers to the situation in which a couple—in the missionary position, woman on top, on their sides, kneeling, or standing—cling to each other as if a single creature, with their backs to the outside.

I quite like the Mary/Dev relationship. I don't think he's a bad actor. There are people like Dev about (everything's a drama) and Jimmi portrays them well.

The Dev/Mary relationship has always been well-written and, I think, well acted. Have a look at this heartfelt scene:

The actress who portrays Mary has been overlooked ( bar once I think) for Soap newcomer, she should get an award for putting the comedy factor back into Corrie

brainiac that was a lovely scene with Dev and Mary, and just shows he isn't always annoying. I used to like the scenes with Dev Steve and Tim, but the one voice I can't stand is Sinead. x

Very sad scenes to come re. Sinead and Daniel next week. If their acting is as good as it has been, there will be a splurge on tissue sales !
