Did anyone catch if the guy said that 1000 LEGAL villas had been built in Catral or was it 1000 ILLEGAL? The programme was about villas being built on illegal land in Elche, north of Alicante, and being demolished. Catral is to the south of Alicante.


Can anyone help?

I`m fairly sure he said ILLEGAL houses had been built.

It was illegal, they did not have the correct planning permission, and often this happens and they hope to get planning permission afterwards, but councils are cracking down. The owners lose out, instead of the property developers who sell them.
