There wouldn't have been much chance of getting a vet yesterday in Emmerdale (and yes, I know it's not real!). Vanessa (who never seems to work anyway) had already gone to Cornwall several days ago without any consultation with her colleagues, Paddy was chasing around the countryside looking for Aaron and Robert and Rhona was entertaining Graham. Jamie, who wasn't in the programme, was presumably rushed off his feet coping on his own!

Not only a vet....a GP, too. Considering GPs are supposedly stretched to their limits, how come both in this village work (seemingly) one day-a-week?
