Is anyone on AB watching this 7 part series (episode 4 last night) ? I have seen no mention of it here.
I really don't know what to make of it. It has a good cast of actors but the story line ?
It's so much of what we have seen before. A smaller scale of Herman Wouk's Winds of War and War and Rememberance, Atonement,Family at War, Hoime Fires and Defiance (Polish Interest).
All those rolled into one and re-titled.What do you think?

Terrible, stuck at it for two episodes as I've never seen sean bean in a bad show, but not even his dulcid tones can persuade me to carry on watching.
Thats the same link. I think Bobbi had a thread on it. Will see if I can find it.

Thanks Barsel. Obviously I missed them both. It doesn't seem to have a good reception on AB. Just replied to emmie's query.
Excellent......good entertainment, not very intellectually stimulating but a good watch.

Thanks Barsel . Now I have read the opinions of the rest of us. I should of checked the search button first. :-)
Same as Sqad
Excellent. It feels authentic and shows many sides of the conflict from very differing points of view. And thankfully is not sentimental as do many dramas are.
not sure about it, in one breath it shows the horror of war, but for me there is the storyline of two sets of lovers that has me reaching for the off button, intellectually stimulating it's not.
And another production I didn’t get an AV for lol

Actually I’ve not seen it mainly because I’m not into war films. But I have read mixed reviews about it.
