Thank goodness for the remote record, whizzed past most of it. Felt sorry for William and Kate having to suffer such drivel. Robbie Williams woeful, where’s Cliff when you need him! Agree it has lost its glory days!
Sad really. In the late Fifties and early Sixties it was a Must Watch for almost all families, but it has slowly gone down since then. I haven't watched it since the last Century.
Recorded it because I wanted to see the BGT winner, but I know when I watch it back, I will be rushing through the majority of it ! Definitely past its best.
hereIam, didn't think he was that good really. Think he picked the wrong song for his voice. Only watched parts of the show though as was tired from travelling for most of the day and slept through a lot of it. Seems like I didn't miss much.
When I was growing up there were programmes throughout the year that we all watched and wouldn't dream of missing - they marked the year like Christmas and summer holidays. The Royal Variety was one, the Edinburgh Tattoo, Last Night of the Proms, the New Year's Eve show (Donald Where's Yer Trooosers!), the Disney show at Christmas and Easter, the circus (Easter?), The Queen's Speech..... viewing habits have changed. It didn't mean the programmes were good :D
