I loved Gavin and Stacey from the start. My Mum was from South Wales and so many of the sayings rang true with me and evoked happy memories. The whole cast were wonderful some great acting and they seemed to enjoy themselves. This didn't disappoint and leaves it open perhaps for another special. The lad that played Neil the baby was one of the original two babies from all those years ago and the other was invited on the set to watch the filming.

I'm the same as JJ, had never watched it before, felt it was terribly over-acted. Struggled to see it through to the end. Not my cup of tea.

To appreciate this Xmas special, being a fan of the original series was vital. I loved it. So funny. * what did happen on the fishing trip ?* I loved seeing baby Neil . :-)

I've never watched gavin and stacy but I've heard so much about the xmas special that I'm watching it from the start so I can watch the special in context. I've watched the first 2 episodes so far.

If you like G&S, you’ll like Stella. It’s a bit surreal in places which I love.
