I really enjoy quizzes, but in lots of them, before giving their answers, the contestants give their reasons for giving the answer. They go round the houses, and take ages to answer. I find this really tiresome Why don't they just answer the question?

I've often wondered that. Perhaps that what they've been told to do by the programme makers.

I expect that the programme would me much shorter.

It annoys me when they say "I'll give an educated guess" when they really mean a wild guess.
