The three main things I wonder about this are:
Did he know he was gay when he got married 27 years ago?
When did he inform his wife about his sexuality?
Has he ever had any homosexual contact during his marriage?
And before anyone says it's none of my/our business, I'm afraid he's made it our business by using his privileged access to national television to tell us about it. I can only think he jumped before he was pushed - same as Gareth Thomas did, someone else who has been described as 'brave', although he had been cruising the seedier
fleshpots of Soho for anonymous gay sex, while still married and unbeknown to his wife. Not very 'brave' in my opinion.
I don't really care if Schofield (or anyone else) is gay, but I've found a lot of coverage of his coming out verging on the nauseating.
