1 = Barlows
3= emily & Norris
5= Battersbys
7= Baldwins
9 = Duckworths
11 = Grimshaws
13= Websters
15= corner shop.
So if the shop has a number, why doesn't t'pub?
I'm always happy to chat about Corrie trivia. The thing that intrigues me about the Rovers is that in the very very early b&w Tony Warren eps circa 1960 it is called on its frontage "The Rovers Return", and nowadays it is "Rovers Return Inn". I'm sure I'm right in this from what I remember from seeing repeats a few years ago on Granada Plus it must have been.
Sorry but I did say it was trivia!
Oh yes - and why don't they fix the bit on the side of the overhanging pelmet bit (non-technical term, or is it "marquee" like they talk about US theatres, anyway the green signage) - as there are bolts in the shape of the letters of "Rovers Return Inn" but the letters have been missing for ages. I think it's the same on the other side of that bit too...! :-/
