I will check it out.

I reviewed the Pretenders back in the day for Melody Maker, and I enjoyed the show and said so, but something in my review upset Ms. Hynde and she pulled out of an arranged interview with another writer - if I catch up with her, I will ask her if she remembers what I said that she didn't appreciate.

I met her twice. The first time, she scared the hell out of me (but I was young - 22) Second time I was a few years older but she was in a good mood so that was OK. Now when I see her, I quite like her.
I didn’t watch it but I think she’s amazing. I love her voice and her look.
Question Author
I love her too. I saw her at Guilfest ( a defunct music festival) She still has her voice.
I love her voice and her music. I saw her a few years back at a smallish gig with The Pretenders on a Norfolk estate. She lost favour with a lot of her audience by spending time preaching about vegetarianism and using the event as a platform for her beliefs, and being very rude to those selling beefburgers and hotdogs. Not a very pleasant person.
Question Author
She's always been rude. When I saw her at Guilfest, she used the C word on stage. That`s the way she is.
She has a great voice but her looks-personality has never floated my boat.
Saw the pretenders support U2 in 1986 (I think). They were far bette than the pretentious Irishmen
I was at the same gig, thought U2 had the edge.
Elland Road?
I didn't see it, but Chrissie Hynde has one of those voices that, with the right material, is hauntingly beautiful.
She also was bragging about how great she looked for her age due being a veggie. To be honest I went to see a music event and not hear her issuing forth. Considering the venue was on an estate that reared livestock I think she was out of order.
I expected better of U2. But they didn’t deliver.
What was the programme called?

Chrissie has an amazing voice and it brings back memories of when I was at school.
