I watched it. It was bleak.
They dare not show positives like who’s survived because people will go out in numbers again and that’s not good

If restrictions are relaxed there will also another wave, so we'll have to go into Lockdown again.

I can't see many positives, Bobbisox, less Omissions maybe.
I'm a sceptic fan of all this nonsense anyway. Let's just get on with our lives as normal and see what happens.
^^^^^^
If we follow your advice, consequence will be more people infected and more people dead. Are you really serious?
what is a sceptic fan? also what omissions are you expecting?
Okay. I'm going to address the heffalump in the room: Does the thread author live on the second floor?
ThI'm not finding it hard as I don't like people too much, I like the Social Distince rule... You?... This is the person who recently opened a thread titled " I like being alone"
with opening line
"I'm not finding it hard as I don't like people too much, I like the Social Distince rule... You?... "
Just attention seeking IMO.

I'm a bit of a cynic, sorry for the typo, meant Emissions, Bednobs. Less CO2.
Yes TonyV, I'm not finding it hard. What's your point?
Tony, I live alone anyway so I'm not finding it tough either. Nothing to do with attention seeking, just stating a fact.
>I'm a sceptic fan of all this nonsense anyway. Let's just get on with our lives as normal and see what happens.

Does that mean let maybe 100000-200000 die in the UK from it this year, including a few hundred doctors and nurses who look after patients? Over a million in Europe? And then let it keep coming back in waves? Cancelling most non-Covid hospital ops/admissions for a year and building dozens of makeshift hospitals and morgues to handle the hundreds of thousands of cases?
No way did I watch it, I'm not into all this doom and gloom. Let's just wait and see, shall we?
Fiction-factory, it may yet come to that, face it head on and take our chances, once the initial largesse begins to wane.
I didnt see the programme. What was their main message that made it so "doom and gloom?"
// I'm going to address the heffalump in the room: Does the thread author live on the second floor? //

he lives upstairs from you, and you may have seen him before.
Watch the US figures over the coming couple of weeks, and then say whether lockdown is a bad idea.
Lockdown isn’t really a solution.
And it has horrendous side effects.
At some point the government - and other governments - will have to weigh this cost against the cost of the disease itself. That was always the case.
I agree, it isn’t a long term solution and there may be some very difficult times ahead.
