I'm not sure to which 'topic' you are referring.
If it's the 'topic' of television comedy, I am willing to bet I have watched several thousand hours more than you of that format, so I certainly know a fair bit about it.
// He's the creator and co-host of Taskmaster, so he isn't behind the scene. He's also leader of the comedy music combo The Horne Section, who vary from eye wateringly funny, to simply eye watering. I'd suggest judging anyone on appearing on a substandard variety show, which sounds unsalvageable by the brightest of comics, to be a tad harsh. //
If it's Mr Horne's work with his combo, as I mentioned, I have watched the many times on Eight Out Of Ten Cats Does Countdown and found his band competent, his delivery nervous, and his humour smile-provoking at best, so I cannot share your laudatory comments, but that is entirely a matter of differing personal taste.
And as my post points out, I believe both Mr Crouch and Mr Horne to be seriously miscast, which does not denigrate their specific abilities, but points to the fact that show is ill-conceived, rather than their particular failure to deliver it well.
