How Do You Set A Name For Telegraph Comments
9 Answers
I recently took out a cheap Telegraph online subscription for three months. If I want to comment on an article , the comment will appear under my real name ,say Dominic Johnson. Loads of others have pseudonyms but I can't work out what I have do to make my comment appear under a name of , say, Domjo. No doubt very easy if someone has done it but unless you are also a Telegraph subscriber you probably won't be able to help. Thanks.

he may have the policy of demanding your name
they certainly ring you for paper letters to make sure you are real (or did)
privacy blah dee blah is an issue altho I have no idea why people want to publish a public comment and then say - oh and they mustnt know who said it. [clearly most of us are NOT whistleblowers]
answering a letter ( which I do) is more fraught - some people think that a query is limiting their god given right to free speech ( shades of AB!!). o god and dont they squawk.

have you tried signing up under another email address, [email protected] ?
Hi Dominic, I recently went through the same thing and it turns out the only way you can do it is to change your official name on your profile page. You can't have any none alphabetic characters though and you have to fill both the First Name and Surname boxes, so you end up with a two word username such as Dom Jo or Dom J, or as I did, BritGirl Downunder.
