What have they ever done for you, apart from existing? You might love to have a symbol of something that makes you proud or grateful, but I happen not to feel that way. If I met one who had been attacked by robbers or who had fallen by the wayside I would help them as I would anyone else, and I hope that's enough.

Babies have no choice into which family they are born. Most landed gentry do not live in extreme luxury, especially if they have huge Estates that need to be looked after. Why do you think so many of them hand them over to the National Trust?

The only people I dislike are those that live in extreme luxury on the back of wealth gained from criminal activities.
