Motsi & Oti

Got to admit I’m not a fan of either Shirley Ballas or Motsi Mabuse on the Strictly judging panel. Way too full of themselves and in yer face for my taste. Motsi’s second year on the show, and her sister not only won last year but must be among the favourites to win this time too (with the multi talented and hugely likeable Bill Bailey)...yet Oti should have been paired with no-hoper Jamie Laing. No-one says anything because they daren’t in this PC age, but isn’t this another example of Strictly being fixed?

No one has said anything because there is no issue to address. Bill could have turned out to be a no-hoper for all anyone knows. And why should Oti have been paired with a no-hoper anyway? That's not the way it's always gone with previous champions.

Oti was paired with Jamie Laing last series, but he got injured at the launch show and pulled out.

Just record it, watch the dancing, whizz through everything else including the waffle, judges, and Tess Daly.

Why on earth would BBC want or need to fix strictly. Its an entetainment show and the public votes on who they enjoy watching and want to keep in.

Plus a judge shouldn’t have a sister as a dancer on the show.

A can see that and its not good practise but really dont think the judges votes make much diffrence. If the viewers dont like someone the'll vote them off

Was not impressed with the selection of BB, until I saw him dancing, wow! he's good.

If you think Motsi and Shirley are OTT, you must really love Bruno.

Like Mally said, before they danced, who would really have expected Bill Bailey to be such a competent dancer. I guess he must be one of those people who can just soak up instructions and learn quickly. Explains why he's proficient at so many musical instruments.

Bill didn't dance that well on the first show, Oti is brilliant at improving dancers both on this show and on the Greatest Dancer. I like Motsi and Shirley, Shirley is a big improvement on the repeating cliche that was Len Goodman.

i watch strictly on catch up next day, then can also whizz through all the waffle, of which there is way too much.

the judges are given way too much importance on both Strictly and BGT. It’s so cringey when Tess and Claudia announce “THE JUDGES!” every week, as if global superstars are about to step forward

I agree that the judges are given too much credence, after all it's not about them. Quite like Motsi though, her exuberance, I find, is infectious, although I very rarely listen to the judges, just watch their scores! Can't stand Shirley Ballas though!
