I used to enjoy this Australian series back in the day
It starred Rebecca Gibney as a Forensic Psychiatrist and was quite dark at times
I see that a new series has been filmed and may have already been shown in Australia
Does anyone know if this new series is being brought to the UK?

The new series is called Halifax: Retribution. It was shown in Australia last autumn.

I can find nothing to suggest that it's currently scheduled for UK TV but Amazon Prime has bought the US rights to it. If it does well there, it might well appear in Amazon Prime's UK programme listings at some future date.
