Been pondering this for a while - on Escape To The Country or A Place In The Sun there never seems to be anyone around - wondering what time they film it? Never anyone walking up the road, or in the swimming pools or coming out of the shops or sitting outside pubs. Do you think they clear the area before filming?
Occasionally you get a couple of horse riders riding through a village - maybe just to add a country feeling and rather like Emmerdale where the same two horses appear in many episodes. In shops there are never other customers either.
Hah! I'd wondered also. Especially the empty pool areas, which are probably jammed when in use. If I saw a lot of people, either outside my door or just below my balcony, it would be a big NO.
I've been thinking about this. My sister lives in Spain on a residential complex and whenever I visit in winter I am in t shirt and shorts, the sun is shining and it is warm. Sister is in jumper and fleece because it feels cold to her. Nobody uses the pool because it isn't heated, I did one winter and it was freezing. Not many folk about during the day cos they're all at work
