Yes, I am usually very critical of WW2 films and particularly of KGB based stories, but this one kept me interested without forcing me to the edge of my seat.

it is based but only based on Melita Norwood
who did it all from conviction ( Ha! )

and was not duped - or deceived but did it from the start from stalinist sympathy and yes did ignore the show trials.

spoiler - I rewatched it to find out how Leo killed himself - the true stalinists when they were recalled still went even tho they knew they would be shot.
