Jack Russell
So what breed mamya?

They are Chows.
Thank you Sqad, I put the video up so others could name the breed.
Sorry......i thought it might be an answer to the question-;)
Actually the correct name is Chow Chow.
Just as a matter of interest the singer's name is Wynne Evans , born in Carmarthen, South Wales . He has a show every morning on Radio Wales. The character he plays in the Ad is called Gio Compario
Thank you lankeela, I stand corrected.
Impossible as it seems, Wynne Evans is even more irritating than his alter ego! Who ever thought he would make a good front man for the adverts needs sacking.
Aye, they haven't endured and no one remembers them - or do they?

Thank you all for your answers
The advertisement shows a smug, fat man holding a basket with three young dogs stuffed inside, with no room to move, and presumably with no food or water (or if there was food and water present then it would have been trampled by the poor incarcerated animals) - and your first thought is of their breed!!!

I think your moniker is well chosen!
VeganAndy That's a bit nasty ^^^ I doubt whether the dogs would have been in the hamper for very long.
Seems a perfectly reasonable question to me.
@andres
So it's okay with you, then, to be cruel to animals so long as it's only for a short time? Get real. And your "doubt" is pure presumption, based on nothing whatsoever! Animal cruelty is endemic in this country - the reputation that we are a nation of animal lovers is arrant nonsense. Cruelty to animals is unacceptable in any situation, period.
VeganAndy, I'd recommend you take advantage of this service if you feel abuse has taken place.

@Mamyalynne
I did submit a complaint to the ASA last Thursday, but thank you for proposing it anyway. If anyone else shares my concerns, then I implore them to do as you suggest and raise a complaint. It was a very straight-forward process.
Young dogs are quite happy cudling together like this veganandy
They got rid of Gio Compario a few years ago. Unfortunately he made a come back.

I think Stuart Pearce shot him, because he was so annoying.
Oh OK, so he just hit him with a football.

If puppies can find a small box they will huddle together inside it, it is totally normal puppy behaviour for sleep and rest and their preferred state. It makes them feel safe.
I used to have two large, adult retrievers and they each had their own big pet bed but they preferred to squish in to one and sleep together.
Those puppies are not suffering, they are not being harmed or deprived of food and water. They would be in the crate for a short time with food, water and toilet facilities available nearby. Production companies have to abide by very strict rules when using animals whether that is for a film, tv or advert and for such a short sequence as in that advert there really is nothing to worry about.

Please don't go to an airport - watching pets being transported in crates will cause you great distress.
