I reckon the show is a public hoax and:

1. Its in Russia not Ipswich

2. The 3 actors are unwitting contestants

3. The other contestants are actors/plants

4. The winner (voted by public) will experience space flight.

What does everyone else think?

$20m wtf?

Try $200k for a sub-orbital space trip with

http://www.virgingalactic.com

1 - your link doesnt work

2 - sub-orbital isnt space is it ?????? it is the edge of space ie achieved with standard aircraft

3 - it costs approx $20,000,000 for a civilian to go to space.a businessman did it a couple of years back and one of the members of nsync tried but failed i think.

Referring to your No.1 comment.

It definitely is in Suffolk. It looks like former RAF ********** (ex-USAF) near Ipswich - see Multimap image.

Also the rocket that is outside the barracks, and which Johnny Vaughn often chats next to is a British Bloodhound Surface to Air Missile (SAM) minus control surfaces.

The helicopter that dropped them into the base was a western helicopter (American Sikorsky) with British registration coding. Even if they took a helicopter over to Russia (it was an internal flight) then it would not have had a British registration code.

The Hardened Aircraft Shelters (HAS) are British/American design.... blah blah blah, plus other buildings etc.

Johnny Vaughn did say that they will be going to a real Russian airbase so I think the winner(s) will get to fly in a MiG-31 Foxhound (or MiG-25 Foxbat) which can fly up to 80,000 feet which is not only damn high but will also appear black like outer space. Russia make a business out of these sort of flights, though I'm not sure they fly that high with a civilian on board!

Mr D Black I have to say I wondered exactly the same as you regarding the location and actors. It's just a possibility isn't it?
Oh, and the tank that the bus followed was British as well.
not to mention a People newspaper reporter managed to blag their way through security at the edge of the camp and go have a ride on the fake shuttle.
i think we as the public are the ones being fooled. at the end of this show the joke will be on us. noone on the planet is stupid enough to think that they can be trained as an astronaught in a few weeks.
