If I wanted to get Sky Sports for a family member to watch on SkyGo, would I be able to do this and then remove it when the football season is over? Thought I'd ask here before contacting Sky.

However, I think tigger wants to subscribe to Sky sports and then let someone else use Sky go to access it.
Strictly speaking Sky don’t like you doing that: but whether they could stop you I’m not sure. You are limited to I think it’s four devices. Not sure how clever they how are at spotting where people are letting non subscribers use the service

When I want to watch the IPL, I sign on to the Sky Cricket channel. Then, as long as I give 31 days notice, I can cancel it. So I only put it on for as long as I want. Am thinking of doing this when the tournament returns and keeping it for the 20/20 World Cup. I always say I only want it for a specific tournament and it is put on for the year, with the 31 day cancellation clause. I am a long term Sky customer and have a basic package, so this is only a top up. I always do it by phone and, despite their dire warnings of long delays, always get through quite quickly. I always find them very helpful, so good luck tigger.
