Anyone going to see this?
I lost interested in James Bond after Roger Moore but I might go as I like Pheobe Waller-Bridge and it seems to have gone down well with critics, not that I usually go by what critics say.

It's 24½ years since I last visited a cinema and I see nothing to prevent me reaching a full quarter of a century without seeing a film on a big screen (especially at a time when spending the better part of three hours in a confined space with strangers probably isn't a great idea anyway).

Last time I went to the cinema (a few years ago) i got stuck with a family in the row behind who proceeded to consume their own body weight in drinks and snacks.
The smell was appalling, and as for the noises.............!
Put me off cinemas (and concert theatres) until they ban food and drink in all auditoriums.

Now the sort of cinema I like is the type where yo can dine and enjoy a few glasses of wine. There used to be one of those in Brussels and in, of all places, Montpelier, in Vermont. Saw the Madness of King George at that one, a very good red wine and some delicious pasta that came either from the New England catering college across the road or a lovely Italian restaurant not that much further away called Sarducci's....
We saw this earlier: the first time I’ve seen a Bond film at the cinema since the first time I ever went, to see The Man With the Golden Gun.
And I’ve hardly watched one since so I’m not probably the best qualified to comment but I thought it was overlong and from what I do recall of Bond films in the past, it was low on humour. One of the villains sounds like one of the meerkats.
On the plus side, Daniel Craig is outstanding and the location scenes in Matera are stunning.
Other than that, Q is gay and Miss Moneypenny is black, which is good to see I guess.
And James is a daddy :-)
