On the show recently they were asking listeners what items were on their children list to Santa.

That's why they pay her the big bucks.
There doesn't seem to be a question there, Georgiemum!
That's what radio presenters do. Each day they choose a topic so that listeners can interact with the programme by emailing/texting/whetevering. And, if they're very lucky, they'll get their names read out loud on t'radio. Whoopeedoo.

one of the children said he wanted "a foot slider", which turned out to be a shoe horn. !! Can anyone else remember what the other item he was asking for was please? Ive been racking my brain ever since.
Another little boy said he would like £200 please Santa and could he have it all in fivers . LOL

I'm guessing that one kid was disappointed while the other can now put his shoes on more easily:-)

Sorry all. My question got split up. Its there now x
Just typical of pre Christmas TV, rubbish, gushing and yesterday on GMTV breakfast a debate on f@rting.
Small talk and back slapping predominates today particularly, in my opinion on AB.
Old folks alone at Christmas...many prefer to be alone.....visiting your "loved ones"...probably the first visit of the year.
Question Author
I wondered if anyone here heard that item. Another boy said he didnt want any toys this christmas but just vouchers for their local chinese takeaway!LOL
I came across a YouTube video the other day, where a little by was writing out his list for Santa very carefully indeed. It had just three things on it and read as follows:
1. Boat
2. Sperm whale
3. World peace

I think his parents might have fun sorting that lot out on behalf of Santa!

Thank you for the link Barry but I dont know what day it was on x
My grandson asked for Lego, dinosaurs and a happy family Christmas.
Question Author
Are there any more Zoe Ball Breakfast Show listeners that can help me solve my query please?
a few years ago my grandson asked for irish sausages (richmond )we wrapped some up for him and still do it now x
I suspect most ABers don't listen to Ms. Ball.
She gabbles way too fast and treats listeners as if they were teenagers. She epitomises what's wrong with Radio 2 now.
She is miles better than her predecessor.
Can't stand the woman but at least they have all stopped gushing about Strictly. I prefer the sixties music stations, where they don't seem to have much chat in between.
Question Author
Well, the sounds of the sixties is already on Radio 2. Its presented by Tony Blackburn!
I can't listen to him
Tone's alright, I remember him kicking off Radio1 back in the day and he's still telling that joke. :-)
