A half decent series (based on Harlan Coben's books of the same name) consisting of 8 episodes which i binge-watched over two nights. Stars James Nesbitt and Jo Joyner as detectives (ex man and wife, too) investigating a disappearance. The series is filmed in the North West of England and also stars Sarah Parish, Cush Jumbo and Eddie Izzard. Well worth the watch, imho.

My lovely wife and I are on Episode 4, really enjoying it.

I can't stand James Nesbitt, with his silly hair and his onse-size-fits-all acting, but I'll tolerate him for this.

I only know Cush Jumbo from The Good Wife, thought she was American!

I do love Eddie Izard as an actor, not as a comedian.

The idea of different locations strung together is common, and only 'jarring' if you actually know where they are, which is only ever going to be about ten per cent of the people who watch it, no-one else has a clue.

I remember a wondeful series called A Very Peculiar Practice which was set, I think, in Cambridge, but actually filmed where I live.

So there were shots of Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre, intercut with scenes filmed at Keele University a couple of miles up the road.

Not a bar to watching in any way, but some people find things like tat off-putting.

I recognised Richard Armitage from 'Spooks'. He played 25 episodes as Lucas North between 2008 and 2010 - he had earlier appeared in one episode in 2002 as an armed cop.
His character had been kept prisoner by the Russians for a number of years before being released in a spy-exchange. He took over from Rupert Penry-Jones.

The interior scenes were filmed in the basement room of a real nightclub called Impossible in Manchester.

i watched it over the last few days. how come the mum an daughter didnt mention theyd been locked in a storeroom by the policeman? at the end of one episode barbie was coming for them, and then in the next they were being taken to a safe house. and how did barbie get out?
