Watched the first 3 episodes of this last night and find it quite amusing in parts, poignant in others. Not for the faint-hearted - a few gory scenes with lots of claret. Language will put some of you off watching, as will gay scenes, i'm sure, but it's a decent watch, imho.
Well i´ve started reading it, it should be up sqads street, its a shame he doesnt like reading as he would probably like it, as it might bring back memories. I´m saying this, i can´t imagine the tv version being the same, as it wouldn´t work, would it?
piggy......you are correct, reading has never been my forte and am envious of the many who get great pleasure.
I have seen all the episodes now and it is very entertaining and worth watching BUT:
We had to have the Gays.
We had to have the NHS giving private medicine a bloody nose.
The word f,u,ck coming into every sentence, almost, as it does in all TV presentations now and the junior doctors overworked and suicidal.
^"We had to have the Gays"...the reason was explained to you on Friday.
I daresay that "the Gays" watching most TV programmmes make the comment "We had to have the straights".
FAO sqad, i just finished reading the book, the good news, theres barely any expletives in the book. I think you should reconsider not reading anything, as this is an exceptional book.
