I don't think I could name only one but I'm just watching one of my favourites for the gawd knows how manyth time! " The City on the Edge of forever", from a story written by Sci Fi Legend Harlan Ellison. It's the one with Joan Collins in it, 9.2 on IMDB, I gave it 9.

Yep: that’s my favourite too.

The writer was an interesting character indeed
I'm not really a fan of Star Trek as I never got into them but I do remember seeing the trouble with tribbles or something like that. The one with the fur balls.
Honourable mentions to “Shore Leave” “The Naked Time” and one one where they are hosted in a big house by a human-looking couple who turn out to be a pair of insects :-)

It looks interesting.
Of course I don't remember it. Was it made about 1975?
1966 or thereabouts

yes tigs, TTWT was actually merged with a DS9 episode Trials and Tribble-ations! Classic episode! Another one of my favourites is "The Ultimate Computer".
Any in which some unknown actor is beamed-down to the planet along with Kirk, Spock etc – it was just a matter of time before he was dead; not that the crew were overly concerned about it.
I don't have a favourite but I remember this title "for the world is hollow and I have touched the sky". It was a great series.
Well, the two that immediately sprang to mind have already been mentioned (The Trouble With Tribbles and City on the Edge of Forever). Given that, perhaps Mirror Mirror and Space Seed are worth a shout, especially as both episodes spawned further stories in later series/movies.

To be honest, any TOS that isn't Spock's Brain is worth watching.
"Mirror, Mirror" is the best. But only just. Then comes things like "City on The Edge of Forever" or "The Naked Time". But probably not "Spock's Brain".
Actually I want to also nominate "All Our Yesterdays", "Balance of Terror", and "The Enterprise Incident".
Question Author
jim, funny you should mention "mirror mirror" because that idea was in Harlan Ellison's original script for TCOTEOF but it was taken out and spawned its own episode.
Finally, I have a soft spot for Dagger of the Mind. Some ham acting, but it's still quite disturbing in a good way, and Helen Noel (Marianna Hill) is one of the best female guest star lead characters.
// one where they are hosted in a big house by a human-looking couple who turn out to be a pair of insects :-) //

I could have sworn I knew all the episode plots and I genuinely don't remember this one.

ich: "one where they are hosted in a big house by a human-looking couple who turn out to be a pair of insects" - I too am struggling to remember that one any more info?
Sounds more like a potential Twilight Zone/Outer Limits plot to me.
