My son has been raving about this for months and couldn't wait for the final series to start. Decided to take a look last night so went back to Series 1, episode 1. OMG, had to go to bed after episode 3 - I'm totally hooked.

I'm glad it's back and look forward to seeing more, so hopefully whoever's in charge, has laid in more candles or bought more light-bulbs. Ep.1 was too dark at times.

No, Birmingham of the 20s'/30's. This last series has started in 1933.

Poor Arthur's a coke-head now isn't he? He's one of my favourite characters. I'm waiting to see Tom Hardy again as I understand he's in this series. Cillian Murphy, brilliant. Aunt Polly sadly missed. So many brilliant characters in one show which doesn't happen very often.

I started watching series five last night but forget two things:
Don’t lie on the sofa watching TV after less than 4 hours sleep the previous night
And: always watch PB with subtitles switched on!

Aren’t we all ? Lol ,I once watched the whole box set on an extremely long flight, glad u enjoyed it Maggie Bee, I think Tom Hardy as Alfie Solomons almost steals the show, terrific acting.
