Damn savages. Should never have brought back Chas II.
Come on Tora, get yer skates on man. 5C in a shiny hat no less.
it's well known he was a Nazi sympathiser, even went to some of Hitler's rallies for example.
I watched a bit of it and got bored. Anyone over 40 already knew this, and anyone under doesn't know them or care.
He was called David by the family - now why have we never had a King David? Just asking!

PS. Anti-semitism? Hm - scratches head.

You can be over 40 and born in 1982! Over 50, maybe, but even that's pushing it. The main thing is the connection to our own nonagenarian monarch. The brother of her own father, who abdicated a couple of years before WWII, putting her directly in line for the throne where she's been for most of the years since. I guess we have a lot to thank Wallis Simpson for ...
Maybe if Edward had kept the job & been convicted as a traitor after the war it could have been the downfall of the monarchy?
He supplied military information of France's defences to the German army. He urged Britain to surrender to Hitler. He was able to do this because he was no longer king. Had he remained on the throne, none of this treachery would ever have happened, the war would have played out as he did, and he would have almost certainly taken his Nazi sympathy to the grave.
Ttt. Examples of what ?
I gave his attendance at Hitler's rallies as an example of his pro Nazi tendencies Anne, thought that was clear. Why are you always so angry?
ANGRY? - you callin me ANGRY? Come outside & I'll show you ANGRY!

tee-hee
Der pot calling der kettle schwartz.
Angry …???????? . I’m laugh a minute here.
just wondered why my sentence at 20:41 was so puzzling for you.
How on earth does the straightforward question, "Examples of what ?" show
anger?
