I don't think it takes many grey cells to recognise the prodigious talent that is Stanley Baxter. His ability to do so many voices, both male and female remains unmatched today. His desire to produce the finest programmes was commendable and he knew the true value of working with only the finest professionals of his trade.
I have seen this programme before and I enjoyed watching the obvious and generous accolades of fellow performers. His portrayal of characters from Upstairs Downstairs is truly amazing, especially Mrs Bridges - I think he out did Angela Baddeley.
Occasionally Radio 4 Extra re-broadcasts some of his radio plays which I always enjoy, another sign of his immense talent.
Arguably the finest performer Scotland has ever produced and, btw, someone who spoke up to remain as part of the UK.
