Hi, has anyone else been sent equipment or written to by virgin to change them to fibre landlines? Is it legit?

I haven't seen Chris' link but I have been sent new equipment by BT some time ago - it is all to do with changing from "fast fibre" to faster fibre - a name for it like changing to Digital Voice.

They came last Thursday to dig a small hole "somewhere" into my house but because there is a fault in a duct between some of houses it couldn't be done and so am awaiting new date.

I have heard we are changing to digital - the way we changed from Analague TV to Digital TV some time ago.

By the way BT keep torturing me for the old kit because I believe if you don't send it back you will be fined - £50 - that last workman told me that on the sly. Anyway am still waiting for the new date.

We’re with Sky and have fibre, it’s speedy and I can definitely see a difference, I think they’re all going fibre now where they can

All old copper phone lines are being changed to fibre, VOIP, same sort of thing as Skype
