I don’t know if anyone is interested or not but I watch Talking Pictures quite a bit, in particular’Footage Detectives’ and ‘Look at Life’. L at L is a 10 minute or so news feature from the 60s (I think) and F D is about films made many years ago. Mike Read (DJ) and another chap make it very interesting.
Just thought I would bring them to people’s notice.

Thanks Helly. I also check what is on, all stuff from yonks ago. I first noticed it when browsing and noticed a few months back it was showing Upstairs Downstairs, a series loved by my parents but I never watched at the time.

TPTV is great for less well-known British films from the 40s and 50s, TV series from the 60s and 70s and documentaries, including British Transport Films. As an example, TPTV is currently showing the charming comedy Genevieve, with Kenneth More, John Gregson, Dinah Sheridan and Kay Kendall.
Talking Pictures is an unusual company, operating from a garden shed and run by one man and his daughter. They are unique in answering the phone to their viewers, happy to chat and help
I really enjoyed watching all the repeats of Enemy at the Door on this channel. I wish they'd show more like this.
