is it just me or is tv programmes getting worse? the same story lines over and over again!!

It's not you maisy, coronation street has turned out the same tripe for 45 years, eastenders has done the same for twenty years.

I guess that it depends what you watch. There are some shows out there that I'm thoroughly enjoying: the new Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Deadwood, Regenesis, Cold Case are just the first 5 that spring to mind.

In that case, it is rubbish. If people weren't still watching and financing (by voting) all those reality/talent shows then maybe things would improve. The only terrestrial TV I have watched of late has been "Doc Martin", Doctor Who" and "Have I Got News For You".


My suggestion: get satellite or cable.
