Did anybody see the "work" that they were supposed to have done for the THIS MORNING programme and did it add anything to the considerabe coverage that had already been broadcast?

A couple of totally self-absorbed posers.
There was no room to add anything to the ten day tearfest, it had all been said and done many times.

The public and their media outlets remind me of primary school children, easily bored and looking for something to tire of next.

Same on here actually.
Its one of those rare occasions I agree with both the above posts.

Oh no !!!!
I suspect we'll be waiting for their insightful report for as long as we've been waiting for Pete Townsend's book to be published!

To Deskdiary, I thought I had read that ITV was going to show their report - which was why I wondered if anybody had seen it because I couldn't imagine that they could add anything to what had already been seen

Thank you SharonA. I thought I had read that ITV was going to show what it was that they had done but you have clarified the matter.
I had been wondering why it is Willoughby who is getting all the flak, with Schofield rather less of a target - I assumed it was just a nasty attack of misogyny until I saw this clip on twitter:

https://twitter.com/i/status/1572153880942632961

Schofield looks furious and pointedly stares straight ahead (rather than at the coffin) and seems very unhappy about the situation his bosses have put him in.

Willoughby can't resist having a good look (a different clip also shows her nodding her head slightly in respect, as per the actions of many in the queue) and is bright-eyed and almost perky about being there - and her eventual 'apology' is also a classic of the "Sorry, Not Sorry" genre.

The piece they went to film was supposed to be shown on Tuesday morning's programme. As i don't watch the programme, i don't know if it was or wasn't.
The press stated that the reason for their being there was to "film and report" for their Tuesday TV programme after the funeral ... so far as I know, no such report has appeared.
Hangin's too good for 'em

Except for Pip, he's been through so much recently, so it falls to the fragrant Holly, too gorgeous for her own good, to face the wrath of ordinary ugly mortals.
Hounded until she's only able to work on QVC selling Big Slippers and indestructable drill bits.

What a world.
