An hour of people in anoraks wandering about on mountains waving coloured lights. Would have been on OK 10minute segment but whole hour was a snoozefest and the finished film (just watching it now) is pretty dull.

Some weeks it is very interesting, occasionally it is not worth watching but usually there is something worthwhile. Haven't seen today's yet

All of the films in the series are very 'arty'. They might be OK for some people but, to be honest, I think that I'd rather watch a conventional documentary about each area:

I was surprised to read that ex-presenter, Michaela Strachan, who also presents similar programmes, lives in South Africa and is flown over to this country to do her stints. So much for protecting the planet.

The BBC have moved on from the old days when they'd have sent a whole crew to South Africa to do the segments, this is economising.
