When will there ever be a breakthrough for this rotten disease that’s robbed so many of their loved ones?

so very sad for him and his family, IT IS a rotten disease and one that robbed Mr Em of his life, and many more besides.
it seems to me that they find a way to combat one type of cancer then another type pops up, cruel indeed.

Hi Emmie, I can’t remember it was commonplace when I was was in my teen and even as a young married Mum although I’m sure it must of been?
Sadly I think everyone in AB will have been touched by it at sometime
my nan died of cancer, as did my mum. Let's hope he gets his wish to see his family grow up...
Who's Jonnie Irwin?
Question Author
I’ve read the full article and that’s seems very doubtful Emmie , I always liked him on A Place in the Sun, I’m sure Scarlett ( I’m a celeb) will be devastated to hear this when she comes out
Bobs I think people didn't talk about it as much, and it was often called other things - I had two friends who had mums with brain tumours but it was never called cancer. The only thing referred to was lung cancer which was always blamed on smoking.
Question Author
He does A Place in the Sun on C4 Clarion
a TV presenter, he is often on the programme Escape to the Country and others.
Question Author
Lankeela you make a good and valid point there
Thank you. No wonder I didn't know who he was. Never watch that garbage. Shame about his situation though.
Rich or poor, young or old, famous or unknown; Cancer knows no boundaries.
Question Author
It’s not garbage per se Clarion, it’s helping those that can afford it , to live in sunnier climes , he shows them what their options are for the budget they have
as he has for Escape to the country, which i often watch.
I don't see the appeal in giving rich people a freebie abroad, then they don't buy anything. I don't see the appeal of it in any way.
most aren't rich, but sell their UK properties to live someplace else.
Question Author
They aren’t necessarily rich, they just want to retire to warmer places for their health , or have a home they can holiday in , nothing wrong with that is there?
anyway, its sad for anyone to lose their family, friends to this horrid disease.
I must admit I had not heard of Jonnie Irwin, but what a sad situation.
Years ago, it was referred to as the big C and was hardly ever spoken about, it was like it hardly existed, but there seems to be such a lot of people now that have cancer but fortunately, we now have ways of testing for some types of cancer and are being made more aware of symptoms we can look out for.
I don’t know who he is - but it's truly a *** disease!
