How can people think this turgid rubbish is a great film?

Well Andy, if we all liked the same stuff the world would be a poorer place! I'm sure some things that you love others may think is crap as well. I personally think it's a fantastic film; I myself have literally been 'lost in translation' so can identify a lot with the film. I also think it's rather romantic too and the cinematography is first class accompanied by a great soundtrack.

Anyway, I would like to think that he whispered that they'd meet back in the US though whether anything would actually happen or not!!?

If I whisper something that the audience can't hear, the suckers who've lapped up the rest of this movie will spend ages debating just what it was I said.

well see heres the catch i've never watched "lost in translation" i was just curious if this question would be popular enough so that it would be put up on the site! Just like the film i've suckered many as well. Better luck next time ay! dodamaksoudxx

???

Any non-offensive question gets posted...

P.S. Unless you have a passion for watching paint dry I'd stay clear of LiT. (IMO)

"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" wasn'i it?

dodam-etc - Great..er..'catch'...you really got us good - we spent, what...30 seconds typing? Wow, you really showed us!! However it is you who have been suckered - and wasted your own time and energy!!

ALL questions are posted - unless they are offensive and even then they are usually posted and then removed when someone reports it!!

No one is sitting reading them and deciding whether or not they are 'popular' enough to get onto the site - its automatic. How would they become 'popular' enough to get on the site if they weren't on the site already? Your "logic" doesn't make sense - Durrr!!

Besides, its a perfectly simple question and one that many people will have wondered about, so how you think the fact that you haven't seen the film somehow takes away from a question that is hardly original, and that has been asked worldwide already, i don't know - it is rather arrogant and puerile.

Do try to keep up. Get with the program and learn the way the site works before attempting to be a smartarse - you're not very good at it.

Better luck next time!

Probably "If we weren't such ignorant A***holes and had bothered to learn a few Japanese phrases and maybe a bit about the culture before coming here, we'd have had a better time."
