Quite a lot of 'behind the scenes' intrigue involved, Barry, on top of the day to day policing of Belfast. I'll most likely see it to it's conclusion tomorrow evening.
I thought there was just about enough in that first episode to entice me to watch the 2nd and it's become more intriguing as the story unfolds.
Not saying it's brilliant, by the way, but it is worth a look-see, in my most humble of opinions:-)
I actually asked that question of a RUC officer back in the late 70s, a time when many of his colleagues were being 'targetted'. His reply was simply that someone has to do the job.
The problem is they turn into soaps. I remember the Bill when it started. Filled an hours slot and had a different story each week, pretty watchable, then wallop they changed it to 3 half hour slots and turned it into Emmerdale for coppers.
